What are the property taxes in Mersin?

The one-time property registration tax is 4% of the cadastral value, and the annual tax is 0.2% of the cadastral value. In the event of property resale, a payment to the state treasury is also required. If an individual owns an apartment for more than 5 years, they are exempt from paying tax upon its sale. If the ownership period is less than 5 years, the tax rate depends on changes in the property's cadastral value. If the cadastral value has changed by less than 20%, no tax is payable. However, if the cadastral value has changed by more than 20%, the tax is 18% on the difference in cadastral value.
